Lil Wayne adds skate brand tattoos to face

Rapper and skateboarding enthusiast Lil Wayne recently added two new tattoos to his face in the form of Baker skateboards and Deathwish skateboards logos. He got Baker Skateboards' "Baked" logo on the right side of his forehead. Below that, closer to his right eye, is a small Deathwish Skateboards logo. Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., already had New York-based 5Boro Skateboards pigeon logo near his right ear.

Lil Wayne made headlines last fall when he announced he was quitting rapping to pursue skateboarding full time. Since he started skating, Lil Wayne had a park built in New Orleans, endorsed Supra Footwear and Mountain Dew, and along the way became friends with many pro skaters.

Lil Wayne reached out to Baker Skateboards professional Braydon Szafranski by text message to get permission on his new tattoos. Szafranski is known for having a lot of tattoos himself, most notably one of a bat below his right eye, and he was thrilled with the rapper's new ink.

"I was in a bar in Las Vegas with my brother and my friend and I got a text message from Weezy saying, 'I've always been a huge fan of Baker and Shake Junt. Do you think you could ask Andrew Reynolds if I can get a Baker and Shake Junt tattoo?'" Szafranski said. "I hit up Andrew and he said, 'Of course he can.' So I told Weezy we'd be honored if he got the tattoo because we're all fans of his, and for him to be a fan of ours, considering he's a big deal in his own industry, I can't put it into words.'

Birdman Gets New “TRUKFIT” & “GTV” Face Tattoos

Kids, a face tattoo is not for everyone. Take Cash Money founder and CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams who has an assortment of ink, including two brand new ones, on his mug, for example. He is rich and can pretty much do as he pleases. You, are not.
Birdman took to Instagram and revealed that “GTV” and “TRUKFIT” tattoos have been added to his already sizeable face tattoo collection. The GTV, which stands for his Grand Touring Vodka brands, sits above his left eye, while the TRUKFIT logo is on the lower portion of his left cheek.
A few weeks ago, the “What Happened To That Boy?” rapper got a new “Rich Gang” logo tattoo on the right side of his face, which coincides with his forthcoming compilation project titled, Rich Gang. While Lil Wayne was in the hospital, Birdman was adamant that it was working too hard, not a drug overdose, that landed his son in the ICU.
Check out Birdman’s new ink, and some of his past work include those infamous 5 star tats on his noggin, in the gallery. Do you have (explain yourself) or would you get a face tattoo? Let us know in the comments.

Gang Tattoos Passe – Extreme Makeovers

Since anti-gang laws were enforced in Honduras and El Salvador and series of killings in Guatemala were committed by citizen vigilante groups and security forces, gangs are ditching tattoos to duck the radar and have resorted to more subtle, low profile ways of identifying themselves as members of criminal organizations, and performing extreme makeovers. Today, gang members with tattooed faces are either dead, in prison or in hiding.

Gucci Mane Tattoo

Beleaguered rapper Gucci Mane has finally emerged from Atlanta’s Anchor Hospital after a judge ordered him to undergo psychiatric tests. Upon his release, he showed off how sane he is… by getting a enormous tattoo of an ice cream cone on his right cheek!
We’re excited about this new development (hey, three scoops!). But what does it all mean? Well Gucci loves ice (of the sparkling, wearable variety), and he’s been playing with chilly imagery for years. His debut single was called “Icy”; he wore a diamond-encrusted, ice-cream-shaped necklace to the MTV Video Music Awards this year; he released a mixtape series called Cold War; and he’s constantly ejaculating “Brrr” (as in “Brrr, it’s cold,” not “Aaron Brrr was kind of an overrated vice president”). And his lyrics are cold enough to make the Antarctic research team in The Thing go running for the cocoa—on “Gucci Time,” he deemed himself “colder than a polar bear sleeping in the freezer.”
So that explains the ice cream paint job and the adorable little “Brrr” caption. But why the lightning bolts? Maybe he’s super excited about the launch of Popdust and he tried to jack our logo? Either way, there will be a great injustice if he doesn’t get his own Ben & Jerry’s flavor out of this (we recommend “Trappacino”).
